Before and After School Care

Hours of Operation

Before Care: 6:45 AM - 7:30 AM

After Care: 3:15 PM - 5:00 PM

Please note that child care services are not available on half days, school holidays or days when the school is closed.

Rates

Before School Care

6:45 AM - 7:30 AM (Flat Fee of $5.00 per student)

After School Care

3:15 PM - 4:00 PM ($7 1st child, $5 each additional child)
3:15 PM - 5:00 PM ($15 1st child $10 each additional child)

Late fee

A late fee of $5.00 will be charged for every 15 minutes past 5:00 PM. Consistent lateness may lead to dismissal from the program. If you anticipate being late, please contact Jen Rolfson at 262-206-3142.

Scheduled Care

Every Monday, a form will be emailed to every family enrolled in before and after care. Please fill out this form and submit your child's schedule for the upcoming week by Friday to jrolfson@christbigbend.com. For older children with homework, please indicate on the form if you would like them to complete their homework before engaging in playtime.

Drop In Care

Drop-in care is available on a flexible basis. To request drop-in care, please text Jen Rolfson at 262-206-3142 or email jrolfson@christbigbend.com by 3:00 PM on the day you need the service. When making a request, kindly include your child's name and grade.

Snacks/Allergies

A simple snack will be provided during Before and After School Care. If you think your child might still be hungry or may not prefer the provided snack, we encourage you to pack an additional snack. If your child has any allergies, please inform Jen Rolfson at the time of enrollment to ensure that we can accommodate their needs appropriately.

Activities

Our Before and After School Care program offers a variety of engaging activities, including outdoor play, puzzles, coloring, card games, and other enjoyable pursuits. If you have an older child and prefer that they complete their homework before participating in these activities, please inform Jen Rolfson on Fridays when you sign them up.

Discipline

Our approach to discipline focuses on guiding children to understand and manage their behavior through positive redirection. We strive to ensure that all disciplinary measures are supportive and not punishing. We recognize that certain behaviors acceptable in smaller or home settings may not be appropriate in a group environment. Behaviors such as hitting or kicking, which could potentially impact the safety and well-being of others, are addressed with care, and we will keep parents informed to work together in finding the best solutions.

Billing

Charges for Before and After School Care will be applied monthly to your Grade Link account, with billing occurring during the first week of each month. In May, billing will take place at the end of the month. If your account becomes overdue for more than 30 days, a late fee of $20.00 will be added. To avoid any disruption in care, please ensure timely payments.
